as a side bar, correct me I am wrong, but I counted 4 players from the A-10 that were drafted and only 3 from the big east.

I think last year was rock bottom from the university for a lots of things including basketball and budgets woes. This year will be a rebound, that I have no doubt of, its only a matter of how much of a rebound will be made. The basketball team, barring any unfortunate injuries will be improved. The ...

well he may be our rival, and same goes for bc, but he gets a bonus point for shutting out the yankees. there are dozens of schools in new england, but there is only one baseball team and that unites us, for better or worse.

Does he play the point or off guard? If he transfers he needs to red shirt next year right? so he would be there to take over for AA the following year if he is a 1 guard.

I would say that Freeman and Bowers have the best shots at getting a look. Freeman does need work as has been pointed out, but he should improve, but I think that with an outside shot he could be a solid NBA player, not a superstar, but someone who could add depth to an existing team. Bowers may be ...

I think its a great article and one that basically hits all the points. Lappas didnt have to do this, but did, I respect him for that. Like the article said, he is investing in his future. He has to prove that he can succeed here, or his career is essentially over. He believes in himself, despite ...

ouch, that hurts, but then again, it all comes down to how important winning is versus class. there are teams that have both, but the majority seem to only have one or another, its too bad.

Lee may start, but in the end, he probably won't see more than 15-20 minutes a game. He is developing offensivly and is a force in the middle, but he needs to prove that he can last a whole season without injuiring himself. By cutting his minutes, allowing him to share the load, hopefully we can ...

Pro Stats on UMassHoops

I was just wondering, in light of our 3 new pro players, if it would be possible to have a link on the site with player stats similar to the one for basketball players. Have a catagory for NBA, MLB, NHL, and NFL players and maybe other notables who have gone on to the olympics or something like that.

Though I am not sure, I think the coach normally puts the duty on the captain of the team to work out the guys when his staff can't. That way its kind of the unoffical, official practice. Have AA take the guys out to the gym, and work on some things, such as free throws. Even if they are just ...

I am very curious about what the lineup will be next year with all the returning players, the newcomers and the people who had to redshirt. I am not entirely worried about the PG situation right now. I know AA only has one more season, but at this point, lets just worry about next season before we ...
