UMass should be national champs!

Post by UMassacre » Thu Apr 08, 2004 11:34 pm

That's right, since the Minutemen beat URI, and URI beat Providence, and Providence beat UConn, the transitive property states that UMass should be national champions. I think we picked up one of those in football too. These are the type of things to help put a positive spin on the current mess.

possible the worst post i have ever read on this board. It only works when you do not play the team and then lose by 30 to them

Post by floormastersqueeze » Sat Apr 10, 2004 12:03 pm

Hampshire beat Vermont Tech
Vermont Tech beat Paul Smith
Paul Smith beat St. Joe's (NY)
St. Joe's (NY) beat Purchase
Purchase beat the other St. Joe's in NY (Long Island)
St. Joe's (LI) beat the Merchant Marines
Merchant Marines beat Claremont-Mudd-Scripps
Claremont-Mudd-Scripps beat Point Loma
Point Loma beat Biola
Biola beat Westmont
Westmont beat Oregon Tech
Oregon Tech beat Southern Oregon (twice)
Southern Oregon beat Western Oregon
Western Oregon beat Central Washington
Central Washington beat Colorado Mines
Colorado Mines beat West Texas A&M
West Texas A&M beat Lubbock Christian
Lubbock Christian beat Rhode Island
Rhode Island beat Providence
Providence beat Connecticut

See nothing could be simpler!!! Hampshire would beat UConn by at least 50!

And the green grass grew all around, all around . . .

This is inspirational! The only thing that would impress me more is that you tell me you're an invalid poking your computer keys with a pencil held in your mouth. I didn't even know Hampshire had a basketball team. I'm thinking there might be some school policy about actually winning a game.

I believe the Hampshire Frogs are a club team but they occasionally play teams that compete at the USCAA Division II level (not the NCAA or even NAIA). Apparently they did beat Vermont Tech in a nail biter (it was considered an exhibition by VT though). Anyway, once you make that link the rest was . . . . I knew that Lubbock Christian beat Rhodey so I also knew somehow I had to link Vermont Tech with Lubbock Christian.
