I hope West has a promise from someone because I can't put him in the first round anywhere. Good luck to West he may need it.
Latest rumor, if anyone is interested, is San Antonio told West to remain in the draft and will take him at 28th. Next to last in the first round but
high enough for a guranteed contract.

"Martelli LOVED the camera last season...."
It seems to me that he loves the camera every season regardless of the Team's performance. Usually he does well with it.
They may not be great, but they won't be boring!

Just wanted to admit I was wrong West did go in the first round,
to Boston at #24 only four slots lower then Nelson.
I hope West has a great career.
This was the hardest draft to predicate. Eight HS players were takewn in the first round and only four college seniors.

So Delonte West is supposed to be able to do what Joe Forte couldn't?
Nothing about the NBA makes sense to me anymore.

as a side bar, correct me I am wrong, but I counted 4 players from the A-10 that were drafted and only 3 from the big east.

I thought Forte was a good pick for the C's. Forte could paly it appears his problem was attitude. He thought he was great and would listen to any coaches, work to get better or practice hard. Attitude makes a huge different when tring to make it in the NBA.
But you are right Bruce. nothing about the NBA makes much sense anymore.

Nale, I thought the same thing a little while after I posted. As Danny Ainge is the best thing to happen to the Celtics franchise since Paul Peirce fell into their laps, so I have to figure he's got a handle on what kind of make up West has.

Well you might be right, but I still can't get over the fact that Ainge literally gave Antoine Walker to the Mavericks, and he traded for Ricky "Slam Dunk Behind My Back" Davis.
