Re: Game 33, 2025-26: Toledo (MAC Semis, 3/13)

35 minutes combined for the whole bench last night, 4 starters over 30 minutes. Would really like to see Placide and Parker subbed in for early to see if they can get into the flow of the game.

Re: Game 32, 2025-26: Miami (MAC Quarters, 3/12)

Woo hoo! I didn't think this was going to happen given how we were just trading baskets with them the 2nd half.
Jayden was freaking incredible! Bettiol pretty much unstoppable. Banks so clutch.

It feels like it's been forever since we've been in a semis in a conference tourney. Hope they keep the ...

Ah, so charging $15 per beer at games is an altruistic measure to keep fans in line. Once alcohol is given away for practically free, we lose all control.

Wetzel's right: https://x.com/i/status/2030329579689111641

Wonder how long it'll take UMass to change course. If Frank had any pride, he'd take a pay cut to allocate more to players.

I think coaches who are teachers are still going to get paid as nicely as they are now. Coaches that have a ...

I only caught the last 8 minutes, but it was a good 8 minutes. Good to see them close a game out.

3rd crack at Miami OH, I hope.

was he a national champ at URI? NO.

How can you say DK did not excel here? I'll hang up and listen

Dude stop.... just stop. DK was not good. He had a generational player carry his lack of game plan and in game adjustments. Before and after Chaz exposed DKs "coaching ability".

Who was ...

Re: Time for a new coach

how would you rank the coaches after Cal here?

Here's how I see it:

1) Travis Ford - definitely built it for him and his resume alone, but still a couple of really good years from him
2) Bruiser Flint - still had a tough defensive mentality. Probably could've used an offensive coordinator.
3 ...

Re: Game 30, 2025-26: at Bowling Green (2/28)

agree Bamford needs to go to but in short term i dont see that happening..they could have Thorr be in charge of the hiring easily. Why waste time and keep a coach whose teams imploded down the stretch three out of four years?

Rather than Thorr doing the hiring, why not just name him to be ...

It's time for both.

That's fine, but it needs to be Ryan first and foremost.

Re: Time for a new coach

Not that it matters, but I'm throwing my support behind getting rid of Bamford first. Frank Martin's time will end eventually, whether that's contract expiration, retirement, or a firing, but it seems like Bamford has the job for life. Get him out of here.

I'm totally in the fire Bamford camp ...

Re: 2025-26 Season

Quite the upset Creighton over UConn 91-84
Creighton was fantastic from the freethrow line 27- 32 84% !
If we could come anywhere close to that we would win several more games.

What kind of name is Solo Ball? One testicle?

Admittedly, I am scared to death about UConn winning the whole thing ...

Kinda glad I didn't do the 9 hour RT for a loss, even though there was plenty of "bonus" hoops. Wouldn't mind hitting some MAC games next year if there's some sort of Ohio road swing though.

It is shaping up to be a wild year in the MAC at least. Miami OH, Akron, and Kent State won by 2,2, and 3 respectively last night.

Re: It's MAC Season

how do you all like the "top 8" format for the MAC tournament? Leaving out 5 teams is a lot, and it might be nice if they added a 9th or 10th team, giving the top of the league a bye, but I like it. It gives the regular season some added interest. We've been told all year, even by Frank, that it's ...
