And for those of you who say, "Have to support the kids"...NO. Butts in the seats supports the coaching staff and the AD.
we don't know these kids anymore.

There are 5 guys who you want back from last year, I think

Parker, Danny, Jayden, Wimbly, and take your pick of Casper the ghost or Luka (do not think either is a starter but you can keep one of the bench). They have what three or four freshman coming in.

The MAC silver bullet seems to be kids who have two years left and who can stretch the floor.

His scholarship should be used on a transfer that will come in and actually make a difference for the program.
He was offered by Air Force and likely would have been offered by HC and CCSU, possibly Cornell. None of those are big time, for sure. He made it clear he wanted to play for his father.

Giving his son a scholarship is so far down the list of things that I have an issue with. If his son ends up being a not very good player but plays a lot anyway - that is a problem. If we give his son NIL $ - that is a problem.

That was one of the nost embrassing displays I've ever seen in my decades of UMass fandom and I won't attend a game of any sport until Bamford and Frank are gone. Just disgraceful.

I wondered the same thing. Almost seemed like a deflection strategy to quiet the unhappiness of those that want to see changes. Tired of all the stories, if they have everything they need to win, what's the bind?

They don’t know program ruining toxic ADs until they meet ours. Scratch that. Ours is amazing. Maybe our DB, I mean AD, can go be the AD for his wife: https://www.foxnews.com/sports/former-y ... tter-shows

My biggest takeaway is that someone above Bamford is not happy with Frank's sideline antics and made him do this press conference to apologize, which turned into Frank story time. Reyes? Meehan?

Does it matter? He has failed and still will be head coach next year at 1.7 mil and Bamford is just a failure. Expect the same crap next season

I think Outlaw has it correct.

Frank says he came close to quitting a year ago. Does anybody really believe that. And the word salad about how he appreciates all that this team has done etc. Hard to put a shine on a 201 net, but he tried.

Yeah, that's what I got out of it as well. The whole display was incredibly disheartening, but also totally expected. So much to be upset about.

As a frequent Frank Martin critic, I want to give him a little credit for talking about and apologizing for his unacceptable behavior, which is beyond your run-of-the-mill coach yelling. Last offseason, I thought that he sounded like a man that reflected on his failures, including his behavior, and was determined to change. I was optimistic heading into last year. When he said that he made a promise to Bamford last offseason to be better, I believed him, and I believe that he wants to be better going into next season as well. The problem is that he's not capable, or at least hasn't shown that he's capable.

More problematic than his behavior is the losing and constant excuse making. Whining about how expensive it is to travel to MAC schools, "learning" the league, "We're building the plane as we fly it", you've got to be kidding me with that shit. The plane line from Bamford is a fireable offense.

We're far beyond the point of press conferences and word salad. It's put up or shut up time for both of these guys.

On a positive note, we should be able to get games with good P4 teams because they won't be afraid that they may lose to a "good" mid-major. We are NOT a "good" mid-major.

Enough stories of bygone times. Just fucking win more games than lose. Fans will show up because of how WE play, not WHO we play.

Watching Coach H’s spring conference is just so different than FM’s end of season conference. I still have issues with Coach H but he at least recognized the history and the teams issues last year and is setting out to fix them.
