Hope Tom and Bill send an annual Christmas card to Pete thanking him for that pass call!Floyd wrote: Sun Mar 08, 2026 1:09 pm What if Pete Carrol calls the right play and Marshawn Lynch gets the handoff instead of throwing the ball from the 2 yard line?

^ Thanks! I’m a fan of the Bruins, Celtics and Patriots, but I’m stickin’ with the Pnstripes. I’m not anti-Red Sox, just pro-Yankees.

I acknowledge I'm on a message board with 99% Pats fans. If you go on a neutral NFL message board, this would most certainly not be the outcome. Anyways, moving on...Quann wrote: Sun Mar 08, 2026 1:23 pmMaking little jokes doesn't change the fact you are wrong on this Scoop. By the rules on the books at the time it was 100% an incomplete pass. Eparade and myself are simply pointing that out.e_parade wrote: Fri Mar 06, 2026 1:48 pmGood chat. What if David Tyree didn't catch that ball from Eli Manning in the Super Bowl? Would the Pats have gone 18-0? Would they not have lost to the Giants again in the rematch Super Bowl making the Giants and Eli go 2-0 against the Pats in Super Bowls?
Re: What If?
^ The Giants having the Pat's number is not unlike Mike Jarvis having Cal's number back when things was cheap...er!

Not trying to be a dick but the Pats were 18-0 that season, just never got to 19-0 which was the probleminthescoop wrote: Mon Mar 09, 2026 9:17 amI acknowledge I'm on a message board with 99% Pats fans. ^ Before I retired, my boss was a Long Island native and lifetime Giants fan. He had an very large damn poster of Tyree with the ball on his helmet in his office. If he wasn't such a good guy and great boss I could have learned to really dislike him. It was tough to walk into that office every day.

What if the tuck rule had never been created?
