This team is so frustrating.

Comment on NESN broadcast regarding UM having a history of difficulty in the last 90 seconds of the first half. What might be a reason they might lose focus and “dread” what’s coming up at halftime?
Not looking forward to a 15 minutes with Frank…
LOL

Even after that first 5 minutes of play?
Umass looks the best they have all season, let’s keep it up.

I don't think he cares anymore. Would rather whine in his pressers than show the toughness he preaches about.JoleonLescottsHair wrote: Sat Jan 04, 2025 12:44 pm I now believe Frank Martin has simply forgotten how to coach.

Halftime , the interview with DHS. What a good kid he is, so glad he's here, hope he stays. Class act

LOL at Curry not holding for the last shot of the half for the 2nd game in a row.
Malek is just awful, it's hard to believe that Doumbia wouldn't be better.

Not sure it is even about toughness anymore. He made his usual weird subs after we broke out to an early lead and then used one TO over the successive Richmond runs but otherwise did nothing to alter tempo or slow the collapse. AND an average high school coach would have better managed the clock down the stretch. That was just pathetic.Upstate10 wrote: Sat Jan 04, 2025 12:51 pmI don't think he cares anymore. Perhaps his players can’t be coached?JoleonLescottsHair wrote: Sat Jan 04, 2025 12:44 pm I now believe Frank Martin has simply forgotten how to coach.
There were two (2) times in the first half where the ball sat on the floor because the player who should have been inbounding was not ready to inbound as they weren’t anywhere near the ball. Taking away any chance to push the ball up the floor and create an advantage.
Just made a sub in the first 0:30 seconds of the second half due to a missed assignment.

Not ruling that out either.

Didn’t someone post that Richmond was the worst team in the A-10. May need a retraction.

Richmond was hungrier and better on D
I don’t think anyone particularly played great today - everyone had a good couple of minutes but there was no consistency from anyone
Their ball movement was much better gassing our players out
And quite frankly, there was no method to Frank’s madness - there wasn’t much of a strategy today for UMass and as a result this caused a ton of turnovers

They’re definitely not worse than UMass.kd68 wrote: Sat Jan 04, 2025 1:17 pm Didn’t someone post that Richmond was the worst team in the A-10. May need a retraction.
