Nothing I ever heard from Donte in the media (post-game interviews, etc) suggests to me that he is selfish or deliberately non-compliant. I just think he has a problem with focus. That problem led to frustration among us fans and maybe for people in other aspects of his life, too.

I agree Len, plus he was neither very vocal, nor wanting leadership, both things I think MM would be looking for in a senior starter. I hope Donte can just enjoy this final season.

Good for Donte but I don't miss anyone who didn't want to stay here.

Not only that but he would have eaten up 1 scholarship that was used on guys who are sitting out with 2+ years of eligibility left. If we are going to be a mediocre team, might as well build towards the future. I'm OK with how things worked out.

That one scholarship spent on Donte for one year could have been the difference between Pierre landing in Amherst or ending up at prep school and subsequently moving on to a different college. I'd rather both parties move on and build towards the future. Hopefully this team surprises us but as mentioned, I would rather Unique and Pierre get the minutes now and gain valuable experience while we're not expecting much in the win column.

I agree Re Pierre. I like his athleticism, and he's got a nice shot. I think he'll be a solid player here
That being said, I hope Donte has a good year. Kid definitely is talented, and I hope he gets what he wants out of his last collegiate year. I'll root for him

I do think that Clark lost motivation at UMass. He saw that the team was not disciplined by DK and that we were going no where this resulted in him shutting down as well. Lack of discipline.

But WOW, look at Clark go this season! Even today at Syracuse, another big time game.
