Re: 2017-2018 Season
What is the big secret re: Brantley's injury? Why is it undisclosed?
I heard today that Brantley's career could potentially be over due to some kind of heart condition that could keep him from playing basketball again. Not sure if anyone else has more details on this...I wasn't given a lot of ...

Re: 2016/2017 Predictions
Everyone's specific definition will vary (you will know it when you see it) but in general terms these things need to happen this season:
They should be competitive in most games and win a respectable number of games
They should improve over the course of the season
They should not be in the ...

Re: 2016/2017 Predictions
and this year is certainly make or break..
You guys really think this is a make or break year for DK? I agree that his tenure has been generally disappointing, but 2017-18 feels like the real make or break year for me. Anything less than the NCAA Tournament in '17-'18 should absolutely cost DK ...

Re: Kaeo: Rashaan holloway
Saw Rashaan play in person for the first time last night, and he's already one of my favorite players on the team. I sat 7 rows behind the UMass bench and it really is amazing how big he actually is when you are close to the floor - as others have said, if he gets in shape, he will really be able to ...

Re: Game 30, 2014-15: Richmond
If we drop to the seven seed, we likely get 10th seeded SJU and crazy as it may sound to some on this board, I like our chances against them more than against any of the bottom four (it's damn near impossible to beat a team three times in a year and SJU ain't gonna be the one to do it).

Re: 2014-15 Season
I'm probably one of the few who think this but I really think this team will make some noise in Brooklyn. And by noise I mean really competing for the A10 title. I see a deep run that may or may not lead to the A10 championship but that weekend the bandwagon will be filling up again when UMass is ...

Chaz to the Maine Red Claws?
Looks like he deleted it off his twitter account, but 30ish minutes ago he tweeted "Maine RedClaws" with a bunch of emojis. Anyone else see that?

Re: Game 3, 2014-15: Manhattan
The SportsCenter anchor that just interviewed Cal, Izzo and Bill Self mentioned after the interviews that when the end of the UMass game was on, Cal was "hooting and hollering" on the SportsCenter set, rooting for UMass to pull it out.

Re: 2014-15 Season
I wonder if DK will pick a guy and stick with him in the starting lineup, or rotate guys in and out of that spot early in the season based on matchups, etc. Either way, like others are saying, it is nice to know we have five guys that DK thinks could be good enough to start for this team.

Re: Who do you think will lead the team in scoring and why?
^If I remember correctly he was shooting high 60's maybe even 70's from the line the last 10 or so games
He shot 66% from the line (20-30) over the last ten games. Definitely much improved from earlier in the season.
DG will score more than Chaz? I'll take some of whatever you're smoking. The ...

Re: Who do you think will lead the team in scoring and why?
^ do you realize how hard it is to actually average between 15-17 pts in college basketball? Chaz averaged right around 16 and he took a lot of shots and free throws.
Is it really that hard? Take a look at NCAA ppg leaders from last season. 135 players averaged OVER 17 ppg in 2013-14. When you ...
