Upon finishing his playing career at Holy Cross, he served as assistant coach there for four seasons (1948-52).²⁾
He returned to Holy Cross after his stint as UMass coach, serving as an assistant to Frank Oftring from 1961-65.³⁾

Lettered for Holy Cross basketball in their 1941-42, 1946-47, and 1947-48 seasons.⁴⁾ He paused his college career to serve in the military during World War II.⁵⁾
