Game 3, 2025-26: Le Moyne (11/13)

Post by 69MG » Sun Nov 09, 2025 7:27 pm

Le Moyne is 1-2 with a win over SUNY Cobleskill (DIII) 94-50 and then losses at Xavier 69-74 and at Bowling Green 60-83. Bowling Green was picked 7th in the MAC pre-season rankings. So, do we have any idea how good Le Moyne is after the Xavier and BGU games?

Looking at the box scores of these 2 games, Le Moyne pretty much played 6 players in each game, with nobody else getting more than 6 minutes. Their point guard, Moss, missed the BGU game and maybe that had a major impact. He had 10 points, 7 boards and 5 assists against Xavier.

Picked 9th (out of 10) in the NEC preseason coach's poll. After them comes CCSU, picked 2nd.

^ I think it was 15 rebounds, but still a good game from him. He also had 4 blocks. I was thinking "Hack-a-Shaq" but he was 8/9 from the line.

I have no idea if Xavier is predicted to be good or not, but scrappy little Le Moyne hanging with Xavier on the road is impressive. I thought this was going to be a walkover, but Le Moyne might have some spunk. Our guys better not take them lightly. I'm sure Frank is showing them tape from the X game and hammering that point home.

I would hope we do not take anyone lightly. With effort and energy, we should be able to beat them handily.

X was picked 8th out of 11 in the Big East. However, 8th in that conference is still a good team. They are currently #90 in KenPom. We have moved up 17 spots to 179 this week. Marshall is 144 and Le Moyne is 330. Keep in mind that KenPom, like most other ranking services can be way off early in the year.

I'm not sure if X is any good. They lost to Santa Clara at home tonight by 19. Santa Clara might be good, but their 2 other wins so far have been at home against Humboldt and McNeese so who knows.

Still now word at all regarding why Moss didn't play against X. He played in the first 2 games and played pretty well. Similar to no news ever coming out about Brown not playing against Marshall.

I’m watching Ball State right now and the dudes’ next to me are observing how “tickets tonight were cheap” but how “humiliating it’d be if “we” lost to a MAC team.” Awesome. Just awesome.

Looking to build upon the offensive effort from the last game. Bowling Green beat up on Le Moyne pretty good the other day. I'd like to see Brown and Placide get a chance to bring a spark again. Frank's rotations still need a little more time to gel.

Back in the day Thursday night started the weekend party. How do we get 3k students to show up!! We need to support all of our sports but especially hoops. I dont like the argument if they win they will come. We should be all in no matter, is it so hard to come out and cheer on your school for 2 hrs? on to the game.....lemoyne has always played tough and has beaten the Cuse over the years in November. Cant look past these teams ever. focus, limit turnovers, make f'ing foul shots and good things will happen
Huge appeal to the kids. Everyone of you are literally a 10 to 15 walk to the Mullins. take a break and show up for christ sake. Be a part of the University. home by 9

Thanks Mike. I recently was on Campus and saw them practice. These guys are giving there all. they all have great attitudes. we as fans need match there energy and support them. This group is totally playing for the name on the front of the jersey . quote from the article

“There’s no pouting, there’s no moping right now,” Martin said. “There’s no ‘man, [coach didn’t] play me’. Ain’t none of that going on right now. These guys have been phenomenal, and that’s why I tell you guys, I can’t wait to get to practice every day because of that.”

Hoping for a major "take care of business" type game tonight. I don't think we'll be able to take much away from that as far as how this team is going to be overall, but it will be a step in the right direction.
