Game 17 (2018-19): UMass Lowell
First game of 2019 is at home against the River Hawks. Hopefully we can carry the momentum from the first half into this game.

This is a big game. UML is a team to take seriously. Just look at the historic records between the two.

And I am sure that the coaching staff and team are taking them very seriously.

Hockey is by far the athletic leader at ULowell@Mass, or something like that.

Might be one of the most challenging weekends of the season. Trying to get the engine revved back up from break, Lowell will be tough, throw the records out, all the cliches, but the next DAY'S game is a tough spot. Not sure why Coach Carvel ever agreed to at 2 PM start the next day in Springfield. And AIC is off probably up watching us while we deal with the sewerhawks.

If anyone is interested, my tickets are up for grabs. Section U, Row 10.
Bring home the W, boys! A win against Lowell will further agitate the already unhappy Lowell fan base. They absolutely HATE that we are good in hockey.

Did I read somewhere that we are 2-17-1 against them in our last 20 games? That's incredible, even if we were mediocre for a lot of those years.jjmc85 wrote: Mon Dec 17, 2018 7:27 pm This is a big game. UML is a team to take seriously. Just look at the historic records between the two.

I wouldn’t be surprised. And mediocre is a very nice way of putting it. Hopefully those days are long gone.69MG wrote: Thu Jan 03, 2019 1:49 pm Did I read somewhere that we are 2-17-1 against them in our last 20 games? That's incredible, even if we were mediocre for a lot of those years.

I'm sure Greg Carvel will point out our less than stellar record against UMass Lowell and have our team ready to play.

Re: Game 17 (2018-19): UMass Lowell
Tough start to the second half, 2-1 loss. Lowell completely bogged down our offense, and their keeper made big saves when he had to. we also allowed way too many odd man breaks tonight and the defense was lax on several occasions. We had a lot more shots than Lowell, but to my eyes they had better chances. The only good news is we are still number 1 in Pairwise and Krach, as St. Cloud got smoked by Union, 7-2, and Quinnipiac lost to Colgate in OT, 5-4. Also, Ohio State ties Michigan state 7-7
Going to be tough, but tomorrow at 2 against AIC is really a must win to shake the cobwebs off and get back in the groove. I am so fucking sick of losing to Lowell.

College hockey has a loooong season and losses do happen. UML Loss is disappointing, but New England will be more engaged when we play BC and BU later.
AIC? I predict 6-2 W.
