Nice win. Lots of folks involved. And lots of grumbling by Fairfield parents post-game about their program.

Finally made it out to a game after a couple previous tries this season collapsed at the last minute for whatever reason. Had a great time of course. UMass took a 4-1 lead after 1 and I never got the feeling they were in danger after that. Hard to judge the team, because Fairfield is not that good (they did seem to play a lot of freshmen however). UMass looked to be a typical UMass/Cannella team. Say what you will about the state of the program but he gets every ounce of effort and talent out of the players. They are not the prettiest team but they scrap and fight for everything. UMass has some young talent too, Trainor and Leung both freshmen, had 2 goals each. Hope they stick around.

My favorite moment was our long-stick Paparo lumbering down the middle and firing on goal successfully. Shades of the Gorillas of old.
