Yep, he continues to be an overall outstanding part of this team. He was on the other end of the unfortunate Rivera mismanagement last season... he could have sulked but has stuck with it. Awesome to see and root for!

jayden is one of my favorite players and he stayed!!!!!! I hope we can get the subs to buy in and know their role on the court like him.

Did anybody see K'Jei's free throw shooting? Incredibly smooth. We've been missing that. I didn't know what to expect from him and I've been really impressed. We'll see how he does as competition ramps up, but he's been very good.

Parker was an 86% free throw shooter at his previous stops. He's the guy I want at the line in a close game.

Regarding the subs. I think if Frank just has 1 or 2 in with 3 or 4 starters they'll be OK. Most of them seem to have some talent. When you have 3 or 4 in at a time there is no cohesion, and communication seemed to be a real issue.

Jayden is the man. A truly selfless team player. I hope some of that attitude rubs off on his teammates. He looks so much stronger this year, so he's put in quite a bit of work in the offseason. The kid is a menace and is going to cause problems for opponents all season long.

ok since you keep saying it I'll bite - what exactly do you mean when you say the mismanagement of Rivera last year?

Sorry, thought that was obvious since it's been discussed here many times:

He started for the first 5-6 games, essentially over Jayden. Rivera should have been a spark plug guy off the bench considering his narrow skillset.

I’m definitely not getting excited yet.. these are wins against Albany and Le Moyne. Both ranked ~300+ in KenPom rankings.

Absolutely... they did what they should have done to these teams, but that doesn't tell us much. Had they won nail bitters or lost, we'd know much more about the team.

They need to continue to build off of these.

Yup. It's not necessarily that they won, it's that they were relatively easy wins that has been satisfying. Beat Albany by 21 and Le Moyne by 14, which would have been more if Frank wasn't playing around with wonky lineups when it was a 20+ point lead.

I'll give Le Moyne credit. They were pesky, especially #13 that was pressuring Carbuccia full court. He caused problems. John Carroll was on the radio call, and he and Frank gushed over the Le Moyne coach, Nate Champion.

Anyways, on to CCSU who should be a good test. They've been the class of the NEC lately, winning 20 games in 2023, 25 wins last year, and finishing in 1st place both years. They're picked to finish 2nd this year.

Didn't realize Nate Champion has been coaching at Le Moyne for 6 seasons now and he's only 33.
