What case? Misdemeanors He got drunk at a party and walked into the wrong room/door. If the cops thought otherwise, if they thought he had mal intentions, the charges would not be misdemeanors.

I still have issues with the guy representing the University, especially with the comments he posted on Facebook. We wouldn't want him to represent the U in any other way, so way is okay for him to represent as a basketball player?

len - I'm actually more disappointed in the Facebook page and I agree - if he can't figure out that he's an ambassador for UMass when he's not drunk then I'm not thrilled to have him on the team.

Wow, the guy just doesn't think. He has a facebook group dedicated to him from some of his friends, and this is the description.
We love Doug Wiggins and will follow him to JuCo, D3, Europe Whatever. We also love weed and the fact that Doug loves weed. We can't decide whether we like watching him ice late game free throws or light up a bubbler and giggle.
I mean, I was no saint in college, but I didn't have a group telling the world the stupid shit I do. Not smart man.

I just hope he realizes that alcohol has now gotten him in trouble twice, at two different schools, and could cost him his basketball future if he doesn't get it in check

Just as an FYI, two of his last 3 "status updates" have been about making life changes and finishing up his term papers. I hope he has learned...
and...
God, that HAS to suck!

he seems to have his head on straight lately. like i said he keeps referring to next season like he plans on being there and the success he plans on having. Also believes the point guard position is his for the taking. I like the confidence and the competition will be good.

we all make mistakes and hopefully Dk and the AD have shown him that some mistakes can be avoided. Sometimes it takes things like this when were young to get our heads on straight. not just for our team but also for him as a person i hope succeeds.

That group looks to be a very old one. Hopefuly he has grown up a little since it was created.
He needs the support of his teamates, coaches, and fans to succeed. Hopefuly he realizes that people want him as a person to succeed first and him as a basketball player to succeed second.

This facebook stuff is just unbelievable to me.....I am pretty forgiving with the usual college malarkey....have a beer, smoke a joint, even get in a fight once in a while.
But this Wiggins facebook stuff is an absolute embarassment. I can't even explain how stupid I think it is.....

Yes, we all do make mistakes. However, most of us have to deal with the consequences, often far more severe than the ones Wiggins faces, and then we can get on with it. Pull that kind of crap in the real world of getting and keeping a job in any economy is a sure way to have the door hit you in the rear on the way out. This guy has had his share of chances. Now it is time to give someone else a break. Cut Wiggins loose.
