I know this is a joke, but there are college hockey teams that have players this year who played ECHL and AHL games. It’s only a lawsuit away from players coming back from the NFL and being eligible.

Last year's NCAA report shows D1 graduation rate (GSR) remains at an all-time high, up 20% from 20 years ago. But it's something they're monitoring as the landscape changes.

The Graduation Success Rate (GSR) is a calculation required by the NCAA for all Division I student-athletes. This rate was designed to approximate a true student-centered measure of graduation (the student graduated from any four-year college within the six-year window) by essentially passing likely transfers from one college’s cohort to another’s cohort. GSR calculations also deal better with circumstances such as mid-year college entry (such entrants are not included in the FGR).

I found this slide particularly surprising. Figured GSR would be lower for sports with more transfer pressure, but doesn't show that way in the data.

I liked Ottawa when I visited 6 years ago during the winter. Rideau canal is frozen over and everyone skates to get around, it’s right downtown. One of the cooler things I’ve ever experienced.
