If we're loud enough, we may be able to take over.

The last time we were there, we ruled the arena for the first 10 minutes. Then BC went on a run and we never got back into it.

this was already mentioned somewhere in the thread, but does anyone know of a Amherst or Noho bar that has ESPNU?

Hangar in Amherst definitely does and someone else said that the Toasted Owl in Hamp does as well.

I think we need to either force them or hope they voluntarily play a run and gun game, just like Cuse.
Don't think that will work. We'll run, but I don't think our run and gun game will be good enough to beat good teams without playing defense.

Theres a reason why Sedale Jones and Papa Lo were the only freshmen that got any runs in the Marist game (not counting garbage time), while Groebe and Glass sat on the bench, and it wasn't because of offense. I think Ford is going to make it simple, buckle down on D or don't play, and if that means giving Gaffney 35 minutes a game so be it, atleast he gives the effort.

Correia, Glass, and Hill played also. Correia played 14 minutes.
Oops I forgot to mention Correia, I realized he played and he overall has been doing a great job so far. The point was that the other freshmen with questionable defense did not play at all (except for the 1 garbage minute at the end of the game) while Sedale Jones and Papa Lo got time for defensive purposes one would assume.

I'll be at the Owl. The start is too late to watch it at home.

yeah that was rather depressing
then having to watch Rice continue to do flashy dunks on break aways with only seconds left in the game

In Gabe Lee fashion UMass loses in overtime. Nah just kidden.. UMASS 78 BC 74.

This of course would require us to play some D.

spread

Anyone hear of a spread on this one? My guess would be BC -6/6.5 but I really have no idea.

scratch that

Post by Marty Peretz » Wed Dec 12, 2007 3:13 am

scratch that...I checked it and it's BC -4.5...As much as I'd like to put my money on the minutemen to cover, I think 4.5 is fairly generous considering we're on the road. Of course, I'd love to be proven otherwise.

BC can't keep up. Their big shot blocker is of no use to them because of the bombs that will be falling. UMASS 91 BC 78. Also, BC 18 turnovers
