Thanks.

We are not far off the averages, higher since we are a larger athletic department.

Really larger is what jumps out at me is athletic scholarships. The MAC average is 9.5M and we are 13.8M*, 4.2M more than average or almost double.

Overall with student fees and institutional support we had nearly a 3M surplus.

*Did round up for 752k to .8M

UMass losses are almost double the average and in expenses. That is an outlier and not close to the average.

Ya, with almost twice the scholarships and athletic size, a lot of figures are bigger than the average. Our endowment is below below Miami, and contributions are behind Western Michigan. Feel the later will pick up with some success but will be some years before we see it in these numbers. The bottom line is the average MAC is operating with a 1.4M deficit and we have a 3M budget surplus, the highest. Like see that surplus in operation and was a bit surprised.

That surplus is on the backs of the students.it is all institutional support. The goal should be to lower the subsidy.

The goal should be to win a football game!!!! We have the highest expenses almost 2x the average and 2nd highest contributions. Are these football games being thrown??? Are there ringers on the team who want to lose games??? miss tackles drop balls fumble jump offsides ON PURPOSE????

Yes. On field they need to win. The financial goal and plan since the move up has been to reduce the subsidy. It was one of the main selling points for the move.

I expect that Thorr's professionalism, focus, acumen and influence as SDAD will be emerging and more evident as the program progresses this season. Looking forward to seeing that.
