That was 100% a fumble. I thought even Pats fans admit to that now
By today's rules, yes. By the rules then, no. It also wasn't the only time the tuck rule was enforced. People hated it so much that it was removed. It's how things happen in rule books.
Anyone who is arguing that by the rules of the time it was a fumble simply just doesn't understand the rule and are going with the fact that they hated the result. Not liking the results doesn't mean it was inaccurate.
Fumblerookski.
To be clear, your response is pointing out another once rule that has been changed because people didn't like it? Meaning plays that used it before the ruling were legal and only ones after were not?
Because that seems to be contrary to the point you were trying to make before.

You're overthinking it.. Fumblerooski is just a more fun way of saying fumble. I call that play, The Annexation of Puerto Rico.

Fumblerooski literally refers to a specific type of play that used to be legal but now isn't. If you're using it to describe a standard fumble, then you're using it incorrectly. Based on your understanding of the former tuck rule, I can buy that you have no idea what you're talking about here as well.
In fact, the play itself is considered a forward pass in the NFL. Meaning if you're calling the Tuck Rule outcome a fumblerooski you're actually considering it to be an incomplete forward pass, AKA how it was called.

Good chat. Have fun changing the subject and lobbing insults whenever you're wrong. Good to know I don't need to value your opinion on any subject in the future.

What if Pete Carrol calls the right play and Marshawn Lynch gets the handoff instead of throwing the ball from the 2 yard line?

Making little jokes doesn't change the fact you are wrong on this Scoop. By the rules on the books at the time it was 100% an incomplete pass. Eparade and myself are simply pointing that out.

That one play changed the trajectory of the Sox for the next 15 years. Sadly we're now back to the bad old days. Henry should sell.

The one that means the most to me: What if Red hadn't traded Cliff and Easy Ed for Bill Russell?

I think you're right. Imagine his blood pumping thru his body taking that lead, knowing you're going? Not jumping the gun must have been tough. He's an instant hero for eternity

He certainly is for Red Sox fans.
For Yankee fans like, not so much.
That said, it still amazes me that he was able to steal that base when EVERYBODY knew he was going!
A real life Joe Hardy moment.
