After going 0-12 I admittedly stopped paying attention. I just took a glance at the '26 schedule to see that we're playing Stonehill College. That's the little school located in Easton at the Brockton border. Has it really come to this? Of course, I thought the same thing about last year's Bryant game.
Tell me you live in the area without telling me you live in the area.

Seeing how we have done in the past, playing some low Div 1 teams is correct for re-establishing a winning tradition. (At least it is not a Div 2 or Div 3 team).
Shouldn't you guys commenting on the schedule better served on helping coach Martin recruit better. Remembered DK talking about a phone call with Cal. Cal asked him what he was doing. Then Cal told him he should be spending his time recruiting, recruiting!
Be proud of the present and look to the future.

^ Steve, how in the hell are we supposed to help Martin recruit better? Maybe we could also email him advice on how to coach better.

My wife works at the VA in Brockton and I've passed that school many many times. We are really talking about a school smaller than Hampshire College. From Rt. 138 I've seen their "stadium". It is smaller than most high school stadiums 2,400 seats. Stonehill was D2 5 years ago. If, God forbid, they have more points than us at the end of the game, I would call for an immediate termination of UMass football and Ryan Bamford to be fired when the crowd left McGuirk. Cannot have a repeat of the Buffalo game when we couldn't get a first down because the O-line sucked or the Liberty game when Jacob Lurie missed a FG at the end of regulation to win the game.

You know it's funny right now because UMass football is actually at its lowest point in its history. And the amount of money the coaches are making is pretty much in line with FBS coaches salaries. We have paid an astronomical amount of $$$ per FBS win. 1901 we went 8-1 and played a mostly "FBS" schedule. 1963 we were FCS but tied FBS Harvard and beat FBS independent BU to go 8-0-1. I really really hope UMass turns it around this season and gets at least 2 or 3 wins.

Had a cross country camp at Stonehill. Watching Boston 5, believe they mentioned.a hockey player there. That said the Chiropractor's daughter helped as an academic advise for the football team. She did not think much of them and should be a win.

I hate it when you downplay the Mass Aggies 9-1 record that year and our 17-0 win over powerhouse Holy Cross! You smear the name of my good friend Coach Halligan. Double

"Jack didn’t have any envy in him," Calipari said. "He was the greatest coach to ever coach here."
