Re: 2025-26 Season
BIG WIN ! Need another tomorrow
Re: 2025-26 Season
^ Agreed. A split doesn't help us much, but it's good to get the first one. 2 even strength goals, 2 power play goals, 1 shorthanded goal, by 5 different scorers. Hrabel continues his stellar play, stopping 37 out of 38 shots.
Re: 2025-26 Season
That the win came on the road is very good.
Hope the boys can win at home tomorrow night!
I’m expect a big energetic crowd!

Statement victory at the doghouse - time for a sweep !
Re: 2025-26 Season
1-1 - 2 1/2 minutes into the 2nd.
As close to a capacity crowd as I’ve seen. Can’t be more than a couple of hundred empty seats scattered throughout the building.
37 saves for Big Mike so far-5 minutes left in the 2nd!
Tied at 3-3 minutes left. Getting outshot 52-19!

Jack Musa wins it for us in a shootout. The shootout was 7 rounds, with both teams scoring in round 2 and then Musa in round 7. Hrabel with 4 goals allowed in over 90 shots between the 2 games and 6 out of 7 in the shootout.
Besides the shootout winning goal, Musa tied it at 3-3 with a goal in the 3rd period. 5 points from UConn is a big weekend.

50 saves tonight!
No doubt UMass would have lost in regulation if not for him.

Re: 2025-26 Season
Great Crowd !
They need to figure out how to move cars out much quicker than tonight. Stayed for the Senior Night ceremonies and still had a big wait.
Really discourages the on and off fan Fri coming back to a game that could have a large crowd!
Also after the OT period, simply saying tonight’s game is a tie, when there was a Shootout that many didn’t think was coming. And then they didn’t explain the rules for the Shootout!

Re: 2025-26 Season
Really nice shootout win but not right that the lights got turned off in OT when UConn had a 2 on 1 scoring chance. Someone needs to get fired over that. Probably the AD.
Give WBB more money.
Re: 2025-26 Season
if shutting off the lights is what it takes to get Bamford fired, we need to make a statue of the person that did it.......they are my hero !!! The person who did it may have negatively impacted one game but Bamford has impacted so many more ! So if that person gets fired, Bamford should also get fired !Sheck wrote: Sun Mar 01, 2026 1:04 am Really nice shootout win but not right that the lights got turned off in OT when UConn had a 2 on 1 scoring chance. Dropped to 20 in the NPI…HE Championship or bust for the NCAA’s?
Re: 2025-26 Season
Has an ‘official’ explanation over the lights incident been given?
Was it deliberate…an unfortunate glitch or something else?

A "Michael Har-a-bell" save was #1 on Sport Center's Top 10 in the seven o'clock hour this morning.
