^ Thorr has already tweeted about tennis, football and softball this morning.
"Jack didn’t have any envy in him," Calipari said. "He was the greatest coach to ever coach here."

Bamford

Post by UMassFan99 » Sun Feb 22, 2026 1:04 pm

Used to post a lot more on here. Question: what will it take to get Bamford fired? He’s ruined UMass sports and anyone that supports him (or makes excuses for him) are out of their minds. What is the deal? Why is he so protected. I love UMass. I honestly fear that there is no coming back from where the dickhead Bamford has led us. Someone set this up months ago and is spot on but it’s fiscally irresponsible of UMass and the state to have him employed. https://www.reddit.com/r/umass/comments ... s_amherst/

I can’t imagine running any entity and paying for these results. The fact the administration is ok with it is pathetic. He would have been fired from every company and every other university. Yet he sits here playing with his balls and making far more than probably any of us make as our programs tank to obscurity. I can see why so many people want accountability in the government. Talk about a complete waste of our MA tax payer money. A clear example of a turd who has been able to completely mismanage the athletics department and get away with it for years. I’m so disappointed in UMass athletics at this point. Never thought I’d get to the point of moving on but here I am.

Going 0-12 in football and missing the MAC tournament in our first year in the league should be enough to get the AD fired. But not here.

He's pretty well liked and politically savvy. Its Ma politics, be on the right side(well really left) and kiss the ring and it doesn't matter how bad you are at your job.

The pretty well liked thing is a crazy ass approach to running a successful athletics department if you suck at your job. But don’t doubt that you are right. So basically, nothing matters as far as alum or results. In that case, the athletics dept and especially Bamford can go fuck themselves. I’m done for one. Those that continue to support Bamford should reality check themselves. Honestly, the NIL group presumably has some power but maybe not or maybe they don’t care about disruption. They should just stop raising NIL money until change is made. Would think it would create some needed disruption. Whatever though. I’m done with my alum until they smarten up. I’m the last of my friends who are alums who keep people apprised of UMass athletics. Nobody gives a shit and it turns out they were right all along.

Bamford is the furthest thing from being "on the left." He's a huge fan of right wing YouTubers and put out tweets mocking students for wanting "free stuff" when Bernie Sanders came to campus in 2016. How's your nearly $1 million from the state despite being dogshit, Ryan? That's not free stuff though.

I probably shouldn't make it public that Ryan is right wing because this board might start supporting him again

How the hell are you people stupid enough to get into politics about this?

I don't know which party Ryan supports, or who within the MA political machine supports him... it doesn't matter.

He needs to go.
