Because they are honoring the 96 team and because the game has some bearing on qualifying for the conference tournament, I think we can be reasonably confident they will lose tonight. We don't win important games anymore. We just don’t. I think the triple OT and Miami losses were the last gasp. I think we now finish out 1-3 or even 0-4. I hope I’m very wrong, but it feels like we are about to see another late season check out, mass defection, and Frank’s pledge to hit the portal and restart next season.

I'm surprised there aren't most posts here. Or maybe that says it all.

This is an ugly game. Our offense is brutal. Passing right into Buffalo players. Can't hold on to the ball or make a lay up.

I go out of my way not to criticize individual players, but Luka should not be getting minutes. Leo looks checked out. He's being lazy and fouling. He's an example why you can't always judge players by stats.

Thank God we're finally seeing Clerc.

It’s remarkable how bad Frank Martin is at this coaching thing. Whatever he accomplished pre-UMass I won’t say. But it is breathtaking how bad he has been since he arrived. His insane salary is salt in the wound, but he just fails at the most basic elements of his job.

Strangest season ever! Frank puts in Luka ist half and he cannot make stops on opposing center. Why would he put him after a horrid Luka performance in previous game.Then he cannot get Leo to stop fouling and he has to be benched with 9 minutes to go.And Placide scores 19 points against Miami but only plays in game couple minutes. And team hasn’t learned to shoot free throws.And we lose again by close score at end.We are paying coach big money. Good recruiter but…! Mistakes are too frequent. Now we may not even get into MAC tournament.

Placide was unconscious last game hitting threes and tonite sits all game and comes in late in OT. Why wouldn't he get in this game.? Frank loves his 1 shooter lineups and generally this is when teams make their move. Same shit approach every game. Time for a fucking change. Embarrassing. No way we should have lost this game

I really think the issue with Frank and coaching is the changed landscape in college basketball. He is a coach that needs players to stay in the program more than one season to learn his style and system. Before the open transfer rule changed and NIL came about players rarely transferred because they didn't want to sit out a season. Now it's pretty much a new team every season and his style of coaching just doesn't work that well with new rosters every season. His style of coaching just doesn't work in today's college basketball. I think he is a good coach for the the NCAA was not what it is now.

Spot on. The decision to bench Clerc for Luka has cost the team big time, particularly in the last two games. This is also two games in a row where Leo has picked up his 4th when he should have known better. Tonight was even more egregious because it literally occurred at half court. I know that we look at Luka but if Leo doesn’t commit such a stupid foul, he stays in the game and they likely win.

My personal pet peeve is how many turnovers this team commits trying to feed the post, especially from the top of the key. I know that Parker had 3 and Luka and Carbuccia had at least one each tonight but you can count on at least 4-5 per game. I realize that Frank is one of the dinosaurs that still plays a low post focused offense but I am not sure the risk/reward of some of these passes is worth it.

Cannot see how Damgonic is getting minuted over Clerc. Damjonic missed a bunny layup scored 0 points was 0-2 from the foul line and got schooled by Odod on 2 successive possessions. That guy only made 2 shots when guarded by Bettiol and Clerc.That mistake by Frank is costing them several games. Frank has his favorites and his not so favorites and is shows.
