Just want to let anyone who might be interested that we are going to survive. Woke up this morning and the roads have a coating of snow so I watched mass on TV.
My has been on oxygen for about 4 years now, post COVID lung problem, spent a couple of days in the hospital with mild pneumonia after which they raised her oxygen input from 3 to 6. So we had concerns on what to do if we lost power. I called the electric company and they said to call 911 and someone would come and take us to a place with power, probably the hospital. We wid not want to do that.
Then on Friday our washing machine died so I went to Lowe's to buy a new one and my wife decided to replace our dryer as both were 12 years old when we had the house built. While was there I saw a lot of people buying home generators so I talked it over with my wife and we decided to buy one so that we could stay home if we lost power. My neighbor helped me out it together. Now we don't have to concern us about leaving the house if we loose power.
The worst part of the storm will start this afternoon and last until tomorrow afternoon. At least i will have the Pats game to watch this afternoon.
SNOW STORM
Re: SNOW STORM

All due respect, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart, I'm gonna pass.

Re: SNOW STORM
We got lucky. Only got light freezing rain after 3 which did not cause any problems and by 9 PM the storm had past us. Generator will not go to waste in case we ever need it in the future. The sun is out and the temp is up to 33 and getting warmer. The light snow on the roads is melting so I guess we are pretty back to normal.
Re: SNOW STORM
Glad to hear everything is ok. In Massachusetts I got about 2 feet of snow

I remember when our kids were 12. We decided to keep them.

Re: SNOW STORM
Here we go again. I measured 3 " of new snow a short time ago. That is the most snow we have had since we moved here 12 years ago.
Re: SNOW STORM
Thanks for the Updates Berkman - hope that you stay out of that hospital. Doing okay here on Groundhog Day other than frozen pipes/no water ....
