time to establish where we are in the conference. need to win these middle of the pack away games . hope we are focused right out of the gate. sometimes road trips are great for unity although this team seems to be all in with each other

This team will go as far as Frank's ability, and willingness, to game plan, and make adjustments. He seems to be a "this is how we do it" kind of guy, and if that doesn't get it done, it's still square peg, round hole, only hit it harder.

^ good post, but I think this group has a chance to win in spite of Frank's stubbornness. In fairness, he assembled the roster, so it can't be entirely the players, but he wants to play tough at the rim, defend the paint, etc. The truth is that this is a guard oriented team with finesse players inside.

They'll win with Banks and Parker's shooting, and Bettiol scoring inside but not necessarily blocking any shots or being a great physical rebounder. DHS will add some of that toughness, but I don't think they play 'Frank Martin basketball' and I'm ok with that. His best teams at UMass (limited sample) have been that way. Cohen had finesse inside, wasn't the best rebounder or shot blocker, and that has been his best team so far.
