Game 4, 2025-26: Central CT (11/16)
Had to start this thread since CCSU just beat BC last night on the road! Not sure if this means CCSU is better than first thought or BC is not very good?
Re: Game 4, 2025-26: CCSU (11/16)
BC not very good. Picked dead last in the 18-member ACC.

CCSU was picked 2nd in the NEC.

The disparity in conferences makes that a good win for CCSU, bad loss for BC. Quad 4 loss for BC at home.

Tough one to guage.. yes CCSU beat BC.. They also lost to Quinnipiac by 22. Who got blown out by Yale by over 30. Comfortable win and continued improvement would be nice.
Re: Game 4, 2025-26: Central CT (11/16)
This will be a battle of wills. CCU is ranked 323 in pace, with 68.3 possessions per game. Last year they had 67.7 so that's their style. They have only scored 49 and 60 in their two DI games.
We are ranked 41st in pace, with 79.4 possessions, up from 73.9 last year.
I looked at their box score vs. QPac. Our former player, Nate G., played 17 minutes for Q and was 0/5. Sadly, that looks familiar.

I can't believe I'm so concerned by how we match up with Central but they've beat us in the past.
Good points on pace.
I saw some nice flashes of a solid six man rotation in the last game. Hoping we can get some of the bench players to elevate their games. Wimbley and Luka seem most ready.

Like to see Luka be a little more aggressive & forcefull offensively. Looks like he tries to finesse his shots inside and gets bumped off or blocked. Hes a big boy, like to see him pump/ head fake more ala Bettiol and go up with force. Having 2 strong big guys off the bench with him & Clerc to spell DHS & Bettiol will really help this team.

I'm hopeful that Donovan Brown can find his groove. I thought he was one of the more highly regarded pieces in this class of newcomers based on his history of performing well against D1 opponents, but he didn't see the floor against Marshall and has looked a bit like a square peg in his limited minutes. He took two good looking shots against Albany, they just didn't go down.

I'm with you... hoping to see more from him soon. He initially looked good against Albany with a few quick buckets and then disappeared.
Stop waiting for UMass to do something big and help UMass do something big. - Shades

Umass is -11.5. Lots of respect from the book makers

Boys look good today, playing very unselfishly. Parker looks very confident. For early season, they're playing well together. Good balance

Agreed.. they have come together quickly this year. Love that we have multiple guys at all levels that can contribute and the depth to play hard on D all game. Really like this team so far.
Re: Game 4, 2025-26: Central CT (11/16)
^ put up 51 and held them to 28. That's some good 2 way hoop. The depth is really good. Wonder why Brown got no minutes

This is gonna be a really fun team to watch if this is what the product looks like all season. Very encouraging.
Give WBB more money.

Losing patience with DHS this season and Frank is clueless.

What an incredibly frustrating 2nd half. Fortunate to hold on to win.
