Current STH Roll Call

Starting my 49th year as a STH. Started following UMASS hoops in ‘68 when I was a freshman….same year that Julius exploded on the UMASS hoops scene. Began purchasing season tickets in 1977 when I returned to the Amherst area. Have been through all the ups and downs over the years: Julius in the Cage, Jack Leaman’s wonderful tenure, Rick Pitino leaving and returning, traveling to the Springfield Civic Center the season the Cage was being renovated, 2 win and 3 win seasons, Coach Cal, last game in the Cage and first game in the Mullins Center, Elite 8 and Final Four seasons, the basketball dessert since. Go UMASS!

Have enjoyed following the Board religiously for many years. Haven’t felt a need to post. Great back and forth discussions usually covered all that needed to be said. Made an exception for the season ticket topic. I’ll return to loyal UMASS bball Board hibernation.

1994-2024 but missed a few years.. i have knee surgery next week and figured I would be out of commission for a few months, but likely go to some conf games

30 yrs is a nice run!

Good luck with your surgery. I’m currently laying in a hospital bed after having a pacemaker implanted yesterdday.

also torn meniscus..probably not a good idea for a 57 year old running around trying to play shortstop in old man softball.. LOL

im doing it in Shrewsbury via UMass Med and Dr Busconi

Just had my pre op appt yesterday. Was told in a month I should be back to fairly normal activities aside from high stress activities
