His talent might have resulted in positive results here, but he was always going to struggle at a higher level unless he really worked hard to improve. The results over the last 2 years shows he didn't put in the effort to overcome the lack of "basketball IQ," as the kids say these days.

Not sure you can say that did not put in effort.. Dude might not be that good, and dudes at this level are just as athletic as he is.

Quite simply he sucks! The first time I saw him play at UMass it was apparent he was soft. Didn’t like strong or tall players disrupting his flow. In other words, he’s a great athletic player if you remove actual game conditions one would experience at the college level. Can’t wait to see how much he continues to suck at his fourth school!

^oh he definitely gets a pass. The system is completely broken. Coaches, players, and dumb fans alike. Tafara should do whatever makes his wheels turn. 100%. He functions in a stupid world. College hoops completely sucks (worst NCAA I can remember) but no reason to begrudge rational actors.

4 years = 4 teams... blame the system and there is no accountability on the player? Not sure that's the case here - don't think him jumping around from school to school every year is well reasoned with logic. I don't think jumping around has created real value for Gapare's college career, instead it made him lost, and struggle for PT wherever he goes.

Surprised that he didn't go the route and transfer somewhere where playing time is the goal after not being able to show much at Georgia Tech and Maryland. NIL $$$

I think at a school like Nova, you'd get a nice chunk even if you're a bench player

I mean following his previous coach Kevin Willard is probably their reasoning, but not once did I think that Kevin Willard brought out the best in him at Maryland

Maybe he has a great relationship with Ricky Harris. Ricky was on staff here in 2022 in Gapare's first year, was with Gapare at Maryland last year, and they both went to Villanova with Kevin Willard, so he'll be with Ricky for 3 of his 4 college seasons.
