In Providence. Oh baby, should be fun, hope Arkansas gives them a game.
One of my most memorable and fun UMass days: 1996 - A UMass group at Andino's pre-game and then we walk down the hill and watch us thrash Arkansas. We marveled at how many Arkansas fans were there. We had not seen anything like it. RVs all over around the arena tailgating in the streets and their band playing right there with them.

Now - Cal on the Arkansas bench in Providence coaching against Ricky. Full circle.
"Jack didn’t have any envy in him," Calipari said. "He was the greatest coach to ever coach here."

It's not just Cal and Pitino. Bruiser is on Cal's bench and Steve Lappas is calling the game. I'm going to make time to get in front of the TV for this one.

If we need evidence we’re living in a simulation this might be it. Incredible all the UMass ties to this game and it occurring where Rick first got to the national stage as a coach with Providence. It’s eerie.

This might be the most interesting college bball game for your casual UMass fan in many years.

Great game. Cal had a great game plan and they played well. Wonder if RJ is back at St Johns next year. Pitino showed no confidence in him at the end of that one.

RJ had an absolutely awful day shooting, but it was so surprising that Pitino would keep the big east player of the year out at the end of the game.
