Gave up a two goal lead and going to OT tied at 2.

Shootout disappointment

How is that not a penalty shot?

Instead it's a :12 power play.

Goes into the books as a tie.

Shootout is just gonna be for funsies cause both teams locked into their respective seeds and doesn't mean anything for PWR.

Their goalie gets a tip of the cap. What else can you say…

He robbed UMass twice… in Maine and tonight.

Love this team and our coach.

For sure. I think going into the weekend everyone would've said 4 points against Maine is a great result.

Little nervous about UVM on Wednesday though. That said this UMass team is a lot better than they were in November so hopefully this isn't a trap game.

Sucks to blow a 2 goal lead, but I’d have taken 2-0-2 in the last four if offered no questions asked. UMass now at 99.2% chance at making the NCAAs.

Denver and CC playing now. DU up 4-3 with 4 minutes left. If CC can come back it would be very helpful I’d guess.
UMass Football: 22-3 at home when I was a student.

Leave the A-10!

Denver holds on.

I think tomorrow it would be must beneficial for UMass if the following happened:

Sacred Heart over Air Force (Not sure UMass really cares but played sacred heart twice going 1-1, Air Force once goi g 1-0. I think UMass would rather Sacred Heart cause it makes the loss less bad, and if the Air Force win starts hurting the RPI, then it gets dropped anyway)

Army over Niagara- UMass only played Army.

AIC over Holy Cross. UMass only played AIC.

Wisconsin over Ohio State. I’ve changed my mind on this. Now that Ohio State is behind UMass I’d rather keep them there. Still need Wisconsin to lose in the next round though.

Minnesota over Notre Dame. UMass really wants either Michigan State or Minnesota to win the B1G as they are already in anyway. Don’t want Minnesota taking an early exit.

I think UMass is indifferent when it comes to Bemidji vs Augustana, but other schools fighting for the at large might have a preference. Whichever hurts the most of them I guess.

Playing back-to-back nights and losing Olvestad early ; down to 5 defensemen because the extra skater was a forward and then not playing Dunn meant double shifts pretty much the whole night for many, which had to be physically taxing.

Hope all that is beneficial becomes reality

Smaller crowd on Saturday, 5.182

Still, 11,433 for the weekend is not bad.

The UMass fan continues to amaze; Friday night was as good a game as they have played all year and even if you were watching your first game of the season , a 5-1 win over the #4 team should have been enough to bring you back on Saturday. Or come because of what you missed Friday.

A couple of possibilities that turned people’s stomachs and kept them away on Saturday:
1) Blarney Blowout
2) Watching Saturday afternoon’s Mens Basketball game vs Loyola (Chicago)

^ …or like me, they may have had other commitments (that they couldn’t get out of… :( ).

Hard to go on consecutive nights.
