I've said this before, and I'll say it again, Erik Reynolds scares the hell out of me. He can be streaky, but when he's on he's unstoppable. Xzayvier Brown is also an outstanding guard, but it looks like he's missed the last few games, hasn't played since Dec. 10 against Charleston. Up front, 6'9" Rasheer Fleming is having a very good year averaging 16 pts and 9 reb.
Maybe the long break gives Rahsool a chance to reset and he can start hitting some shots, but I don't have good feelings about this one. St Joes 80, UMass 67.

As for the game, I also don't like the matchup for us. Their bigs are better than ours, they have a great guard in Reynolds and it's in Philly.
Fleming (6'9, 240) is a beast. His stats are 16 points, 9 boards, 39% from 3 and 21 blocks in 13 games. They also start Ajogbor, the Harvard transfer we looked at. He's 6'10, 260 and he's the type of center that gives Malek problems. He doesn't shoot much (41 shots in 13 games) but plays good D and blocks shots.
If DHS has to go up against Fleming, that's a lot to ask for a guy playing in his first game in almost a month.

Anyone seen a report on whether or not DHS is cleared to / will play? Articles from the Gazette are becoming more sparse and The Collegian's on break.

I saw a picture of him practicing at St. Joes, but I haven't seen anything that specifically talks about his status. It's on Facebook so you have to log on to see it. Or maybe just hit the X.

I was certain this was a typo... but no, no it is not a typo.

The lack of chatter about this game is ------- probably not surprising. I have seen lines as low as 8.5 and as high as 11. We are home to Richmond on Saturday and they start off by hosting an 11-2 GW team today. Let's see who has a better showing against 2 of the top ranked teams in the A10. I will say this, SJU has played a much tougher schedule than GW so far.
One last bit of info:

Update: Xzayvier Brown is available for today's game against UMass. Khaafiq Myers (knee) is out.
Myers hasn't played yet this year, so I don't think he'll be missed. Prety sure SJU could beat us without Brown, who has missed the last 3 games with a hamstring.

Shooting 29% and getting outrebounded. Somehow it's tied with a couple minutes left in the half.
What can we do better than Joe's to win this game?

This game has been pretty lackluster. Need a good 2nd half & steal this one
