Tough break for GW. I never hope for a player to get injured, but I'll admit that I like anything that might help us win a game.
Garrett Johnson tears ACL, expected to miss 2024-25 season
The redshirt sophomore forward missed the final seven games of last year’s regular season and GW’s lone Atlantic 10 tournament game after re-aggravating a lingering hip issue stemming from the rare benign tumor that kept him out of basketball for two-and-a-half years.

Before his season-ending injury last season, Johnson was averaging 13.4 points, 5.6 rebounds, 1.0 assists and was shooting 40.3% from three on 5.6 attempts per game. He was also named A-10 Rookie of the Week four times.

Dayton's DaRon Holmes II is staying in the 2024 NBA Draft, per his IG page.
22nd overall pick. Bravo! Nuggets even traded up from 28 to 22 to grab him and gave up 3 2nd rounders.

Don't worry we got Steve to remind us that the 50th overall pick was from the MAC though.

^Brutal

On the bright side, he tore it in the NBA after signing a contract and not during his senior year at Dayton.

Am I the only one alarmed that some of you guys are celebrating brutal injuries on young kids in this thread?

^ My thoughts exactly. I said Dayton would be worse, no reflection on Holmes' injury as he would not be with Dayton anyway.

You said "some of you guys" and the only posts made after the comment telling us that he got injured were by me and Scoop-a-loop.... sooooooooooo what exactly did I say that was celebrating the injury? Pretty confident that I just confirmed he signed a contract and got guaranteed money.....

Wasn't talking about you and I misinterpreted Scoop's post above. It was 69MG talking about not wishing for injuries but then saying he'll take any advantage he can get to win. Just thought it was a little odd, I'd never wish any injuries on anyone no matter what the advantage is for winning.

Got it, I missed the post about the GW kid... I thought we were solely talking about Holmes. Carry on.
