I’m not sure on who goes to SLU but they’ll be nasty if they all do so…

I know there is recent track record of a lot of guys following their coach where he goes now that they don't have to sit out a year, but I don't consider SLU enough of a jump for these kids. Most of them should aim higher. They were a really good basketball team this year. I know there is a loyalty (and $) but do they really want to waste whatever time they have left in school to be part of a reclamation project? Go to a power school.

^ The official announcement from The Collective. One more (and a big one) to go.
We are excited to announce that Rahsool Diggins has signed an NIL agreement with The Massachusetts Collective.

Get good Cross news and our ceiling is an at-large bid. We have been awfully quiet in the portal/visits and I think that's a good thing, so far.

It is? We didn't even make the NIT with the team we had, we lost an A10 First Team player from said team, and we don't know yet who might be coming in. I mean, I would LOVE to have our ceiling be an at-large bid, but maybe we should wait a bit longer before making such a declaration?

We were one of the unluckiest teams in the sport, per Kenpom, the young guys are a year older, said departing 1st teamer was a big liability on one end of the court and Matt Cross is an absolute dog. If he comes back our ceiling is at-large quality dependent on portal/how good and ready the freshman are. I didn't say we would be an at-large quality team but I am confident the ceiling is there.

I know you said ceiling, I referenced that part specifically. I still think it is premature.

It would be amazing. Give us hoops first fans one last season to remember before the great unknown begins.

If we make a big splash with an impact big guy, we could be better than last year. I have a feeling Frank pulls out a couple big surprises

If we get Matt back, will we have any NIL money left over? Hoping there is some Cohen cash for another big. I see Beagle went to

I'm expecting big gets to be guys who didn't play much in power conference like Rahsool two years ago.

So much can change, and so fast. I see we have contacted some really interesting transfers.

I would hope so. Blowing all of the NIL money on Cross, Diggins, Ndjigue, DHS, and Curry would be a huge error in my opinion.

Those 5 would need to show meaningful improvement in 2024-24 vs 2023-24, otherwise I fear the team would take a step back.

Last year NIL money was allocated to 2 1st Team A10 Players and an All Rookie Team Player.

This year, so far, we have allocated NIL money to the A10 Most Improved Player, an All Rookie Team Member, a Freshman who started ALL games for UMass last year and a player who showed flashes of brillance while not having a full offseason last year due to injuries.

I think we have a pretty good handle on it.
