Why did we have a break in the schedule earlier for a week and then schedule a game on Super Bowl Sunday. Fans would come if we could win a few of the close games.

We have some coming for next year, plus Davis and Curry will have developed. Just got to make it through this year and retain players and we can get back to contention. Big if but have faith in Frank and the collective. Sign up!!!

Not a great half of basketball. Defense got better but offense is so damn disjointed and the spacing is rough because we can’t shoot. Still in it obviously but we aren’t playing very well.

Well, another poor half but only down 3. Put together a good 2nd half and should grab the W.
Have to recognize the double team coming and you can't dribble thru it. Matt lost the ball on at least 2 of those drives.

Curry can score in bunches, needs more minutes.

The announcers are terrible. I have the sound turned down to a bare min. They are more interested in BS ING and we don't need to replay all the shots. As someone mentioned in an earlier post the refs are bad. They are allowing too much contact. Should not be able to bump your way to the basket. Hopefully our 3 point shooting will pick up in the second half.

Watching UMass can be taxing at times because UMass had unbelievable diehard fans that are desperately waiting for them to do something. They have progressed but now need to deliver.
I will tell you a story about a UMass/URI game back in the 1973 season. We were playing a good URI team and them and UConn were battling to try and beat us. We had beaten both UConn and URI for several years in a row and won the Conference crowd. This was a time where our faithful students would line up 2 to 3 hours in advance to just get in. Well this Sat it was a 12 o’clock game to be on NE TV. There was a snow storm with about 12” of snow and the roads are barely plowed. I was driving my small sports car in the snow and I get on Commonwealth and I’m barely getting any traction. With Jack Leaman there were no excuses and God forbide you were late - you wouldn’t play. So out of nowhere 5 students going to the game come out of nowhere and see I’m stuck in the snow and start pushing my car thru the snow. They pushed me for close to 1/2 mile and from that day on I’ve appreciated. UMass basketball fans. Great kids just going to support there team in a major snow storm. Games went on then no matter the weather.
Hopefully we’ll get back to the point where our student fans come back and support their team. They were the best fans in NE at one time. Will also never forget the 6,000 of them that traveled to NYC to rush the court when we beat a highly ranked Missouri team. It can be done and can’t wait to see the Mullins packed.

Boy, Keon Thompson is really developing into a steady, consistent PG. Plays tough D, rebounds, blocks shots, passes very well, and drives very strong to the hoop. Sooo glad he stayed here. He's one tough kid

I would love to see UM use the backboard in the lane, doesn’t look as fancy, but would score A LOT MORE BASKETS!!

Sure is nice when we get more than 1 or 2 guys hitting 3's. RobD contributing rebounding, putbacks, and now a nice 3. Gotta love it

I know Frank likes to play inside out, but sometimes we look like we could run uptempo pretty well.
