I said it in the Game 1 thread against CCSU and I’ll say it again..

So much Kyle Lowry in Keon Thompson

Don't care how good UML is. Losing to little brother is embarrassing.

Lowell’s solid but UMass played a dogshit first 30 minutes. Here’s the wake-up call Frank’s been talking about.

Curry Hicks Sage pointed out that we started the game down 10 and started the second half shitty and our five best players were definitely not on the court either time. Who your starters are doesn't matter until it does. Tonight it did.

Lowell played their asses off and we didn't come to play but it was absolutely an avoidable loss. Lots of blame to go around. Really frustrating setback on a season that was showing lots of potential. Need UML to keep winning lots of games for our postseason resume.

They’ll listen to FM now. If they learn from this game we should see a different team on Sunday.

100% AGREE! The game was lost at the beginning of the fame and the beginning of the second half. Our “starters” on the floor each time of course. Frank HAS TO CHANGE his starting lineup!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wake up call game for everyone. Good timing right before conference play.

On the positive, we have some super talented freshman and in general, we haven’t had this much talent since I can remember. We’re ready to make some noise

as you said, "embarrassing". The team is lost without Noah. Hope Rohsool is OK; at least there might be a chance with him. Perhaps they can play with just TJ and RJ as the backcourt. And that stuff about not starting Martin looked very true tonight.

The defense was the problem tonight. Lowell hit 11/21 3s and deserve a lot of credit. Many of them were timely too.

Lots of positives this season still.

Not going to be able to get out of every hole you dig. Our defense wasn’t great for sure but credit UML — they are a good, experienced team.

Turnovers hurt us again on offense and the lack of three point shooting makes our margin for error that much slimmer.

Still think everyone is learning each other too.

Disappointed but they responded well after their first loss. Hope that trend continues.

also, how awful was our transition defense. how many times did we make a big basket, then lowell dude is sitting all alone in the corner to knock the three. i counted at least 4 times.
