I remember the last game against UMD--they were bigger, more mature and experienced team. This UMass team is bigger, more mature and experienced, so it should be a great game.

I just remember them being so much faster than us. It seemed like every time we'd get it out of our zone and down the ice, it was almost immediately coming back in our zone again.

This UMass team is a complete team. We don't have the Makar star power (kind of hard to consistently have that in there), but it's so much better built than that team was.

We have the best goalie, IMO, and that is so important in the playoffs.

Agreed, must more balanced. Gonna be a fun rematch!

Maybe I'm "misremembering" but wasn't Makar hurt when we played them? He played, but he clearly wasn't himself. I also remember them being bigger and more physical than we were.

^ This is also my recollection. I remember one of the commentators saying Makar must be hurt, or something to that effect. But, nothing was ever mentioned in print, and he immediately joined the Avalanche.

I was at the final. Much bigger team . We were under the gun right out of the gate. Helps that we were there before. Time to play our best and win

The exact same score as the two (2) games in Manchester, so that’s one (1) goal given up in the past four (4) NCAA Regional games...pretty good start to building a solid program!
Pretty good recruiting tool. We are going to be watching nhl defensemen for years.

Can’t remember anything better. The 5-3 pk and score at the end got them going and they never even let the Beavers near them after the 2-0 lead.

Carvy on a conference call in advance of the Frozen Four, on Wild goalie prospect Filip Lindberg, who has a .946 save percentage: “(He’s) maybe the untold story of college hockey this season. He’s got stats that I don’t know if I’ve seen before.”
"Jack didn’t have any envy in him," Calipari said. "He was the greatest coach to ever coach here."

Also, IIRC wasn’t Chaffee suspended for that game for a hit against Denver? He wasn’t called for a penalty during the game, but was suspended after.

No, that was Bobby Trivigno who was suspended for the Championship game.
