After the record 44, I was able to connect Luwane with Isam (Billy Tindall) yesterday, after the game, after the Press Conference Luwane attended.

They had a fairly long chat that was nicely appreciated by both of them.

Thanks to Athletics Communications head John Sinnett for helping me get it done, and Class of '68 teammate Rick Perkins for getting me Isam's current #, after I found out I had an old one in my contacts.

John and A.D. Ryan Bamford were there during the call. They took pics and put something on that Twitter thing I don't do...

What's the story behind Isam? Is it a nickname or did he change his name?

^ He converted many years ago and changed his name.

When he signed the Jack Leaman sign maybe 8-10 yrs ago ... The one started to honor Jack and display a few times each year
"A MAN FOR ALL SEASONS"
now with many, many signatures on it...

He signed it directly under Jack's picture...

Billy Tindall 68
AKA Isam Iddeen

Were you to meet him at a game...possible in the near future...and do not know him personally, "Isam" would be best.

Nice of you to take the effort to make that happen Ed.

Ed, where is Billy living now? Any chance of getting him to Amherst for some type of ceremony (passing the torch to LP, so to speak)?

Reading the article, there were some other really stellar performances, including our nemesis Otis Livingstone. It took an amazing week to get this award.

Roughly a 5 1/2 drive...
I heard what Luwane said, but it was more important, IMHO, to have what Isam told him private (not on speaker mode)...
It was obvious, though, that Isam talked about getting up here to see him play...
I don't know when, yet, but I am sure that a nice, small presentation would be in order.
