'Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the campus
Not a creature was stirring, not even the Krampus
The fans were crazy from the things that they lacked
In hopes that @UMassHockey soon would be back

The fans were nestled all snug in their beds,
Dreaming of Ryan Wischow standing on his head;
Greg Carvel, his assistants and the rest of his staff
Had just settled down, awaiting the second half

At the beginning of the season, there were wristers and clappers,
So fans flooded to see what was the matter.
They entered the @MullinsCenter to see on the ice;
A handful of new faces scurrying around like mice.

The players looked promising and showed great potential.
At was at this point the fan realized they could be influential.
The @UMassSonsOfLib and @UniteTheMilitia started to cheer.
And soon the rest of the masses began to appear.

With a second year coach, so lively and glad,
We've found there are none other like our beloved Cake Dad.
His team more became more competitive and gained some acclaim
And he whistled, and skated them, and called them by name;

"Now, CALE! now, MARIO! now, WISCHOW and NIKO!
On, OLIVER! on MITCHELL! on, AUSTIN and NIKO!
To the top of the CONFERENCE! to the top of the NCAA!
Now let's go boys, go out and play!

They began the season like never before,
Before they had known it they'd won 3 out of 4
The season is long, and it has ups and downs,
But @UMassHockey is over .500 as of right now

They've swept Quinnipiac and took one from PC,
But sweeping Union College is most impressive to me.
The players played not only with poise but also with grit
The fans got rowdy and had a ton of fun doing it

The teams that come here won't know what to do.
Because the things that they'll hear from us some see as rude
Well chirp them forever and you know we will.
Especially those benders that play for UMass Lo-well

Back to the present where we can't wait for hockey
And if it doesn't come quick things will get rocky.
When it comes back we'll feel like we're in heaven
Because this team is going to improve upon 9-7

@CoachCarvelUM gave us the goal song back,
So the fans better be ready to chirp and to quack.
Cause the team needs the fans to be wild like jesters.
SO HAPPY HOCKEY TO ALL, AND SEE YOU NEXT SEMESTER!
