Very nice win, they are learning to win.
4-1 since the break with the lone loss to a ranked Miss State and we were in that game.!! :D :D
Be proud of the present and look to the future.

The announcers said this is UMass' first road win in the FBS era. I think that's incorrect. Didn't we win at Miami (O.) with one of Molnar's teams?

Great to get the win! These players deserve it so much! Whip's play calling is still a mess to me. The team has won FBS games on the road already-guess they don't count the MAC as FBS.....

Thanks to the D for the win. Really need some help on the offensive side of the ball. An OC would help. A lot.
All due respect, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart, I'm gonna pass.

It's first non-conference FBS win on the road.

Yes yes yes!!! What a win! Not pretty but the defense played like beasts!! So happy for these guys.

This early season losses really sting now.
Looking forward to the 2022 UMass Football Season (Oh boy, just jinxed that one)

Oh, I guess I didn't hear them specify non-conference.

Damn, I along with many others picked 5 wins at the beginning of the season. Could we end up being correct? FIU is tough, but I guess anything is possible.

Oh, the announcers did not say that. They said first FBS win on the road. I was just correcting them.

Could Whip try any harder to give this game away. Pathetic play calling in the 4th

That's a damn good win. Yeah, BYU is historically bad this year. But they're an Independent like us with a much bigger budget. They're the #1 candidate for Big 12 expansion. The ACC, SEC and Big Ten consider BYU a P5 team for their non-conference scheduling requirements. And they haven't lost a home game in November in over a decade. That's significant. I do hate some of our playcalling and endgame philosophy. I really, really hate that our go-to running play is a delayed handoff in shotgun formation. That makes no damn sense. Delay = defender in the backfield with this offensive line. Conversely, this was one of the best jobs I've seen the OL do protecting Ford. Credit to them. Credit to Laurent. What a huge difference a reliable kicker makes. But credit especially to this defense. I wasn't a believer in Pinkham early season, but this defense made BYU look terrible. A pity we're not playing UNLV whom BYU whupped, because we're clearly better than them. I'm really happy that the kids get a week off and Thanksgiving off, and barring disaster a final game in southern Florida against a decent but beatable FIU team. Looking forward to that, hope they treat it as a quasi-bowl game.

Nice win on the road - payback for last year. OLine and DLine
Getting it done. You have to be happy for our kids who hung in there and who have improved week to week. That’s what it is all about. This team improved Beccause they were dedicated and worked hard. If you want to trash Mark Whiple have at it - he stuck by these kids and they stuck by him. I still say he;’s the best HC in UM Football history and we ought to appreciate that. The most important thing for building a program is continuity and success - we need to keep on rolling forward. GO UMASS !!!!!!!!!!

Forgot to add, Logan Laurent is my pick for team MVP. I honestly believe the fact that they have a kicker they can rely on, as well as one hell of a punter, has made a HUGE difference in the confidence of this team. Call me crazy, but winning 4 out of 5 coincides with Laurent getting healthy and becoming the number 1 kicker.

Jackman, I believe BYU rolled Nevada last week, not UNLV.

Great win. I'll take them any way I can, but that was "Coyote Ugly". I haven't said much about the coaching but I am now in the camp of we need an OC next year. The end of game play calling is just plain stupid. Thank you LL for getting healthy.
