Why isn't Tyler Bogart on the 2018 roster? Wouldn't he have been a junior this year? Seems like a big loss if he's no longer with the program.

I would think the number one goal scorer last year being gone would qualify as a big loss. Does anyone know offhand what the breakdown is for scholarships across the board for each sport, men's and women's?
Is there any reason to think scholarships should be moved around from other sports like baseball to a sport like Lacrosse? Just seems like instead of being mediocre in a bunch a sports we could put more eggs into a different basket to try and improve.

I believe that the A.D. said in a recent tweet UMASS offers one less scholly equivalent than is allocated for D1.Roughly, 12 vs. 13.
WIth rare exception, these are shared across many players.
Believe me, UMASS football sucks majority of the scholly oxygen from NCAA limits for Men's varsity sports, except bball, hockey and Lax. Many sports went club.
I am glad that UM went against a power like Loyola (disclosure - my son graduated from Loyola), always in the final 4 hunt, and Rutgers, perhaps a rising power in Big 10.
We often have recruited well, but I believe that our schedule/league leads students to xfer. CAA is not a Lax strong conference.
