Amherst has 7 bars in downtown alone.

Re: KAEO DeJon Jarreau (2016)
The kids (underage) like Deeky is don’t even care about the bars. We all forget that, so that 3 bar comment was weird as well as inaccurate. Those 7 are all on one street and don’t include the restaurants that also have been known as places to get a drink on-chinese food, Judy’s etc. For the above 21 crowd and those with good ID’s you also have the Hangar, Rafters, Harp and even the Legion and VFW......InnervisionsUMASS wrote:Amherst has 7 bars in downtown alone.

Yes mister I've been to Omaha, and its decent yet my maroon glasses are on as Amherst is more of an ideal college town in my view. I know its not for everyone.
Anyway, sorry to add to this excessive thread and to the other nonsense. He is moving on and we are too. Time to bill.

Re: KAEO DeJon Jarreau (2016)
So now posters are knocking Amherst as a college town...really?
Whether it's bars, restaurants that represent food from around the world, live music and, oh yeah, top quality education, you won't find a better college area than the five college area that the Amherst-Northampton is...anywhere

Nobody is knocking Amherst - but it would be naive to to think it is the "only" best college town in the country....
I was born and raised in this area and as much as I love it here I could do with less with all the parades and protests.... regardless, it is still a very culturally diverse and desirable area to live and learn - and drink and eat and all of that other stuff too.

You just look for nits to pick, don't you...
I said you won't find a better college area than the five college area that the Amherst-Northampton is...anywhere. That's an acknowledgement that there may be others as good.
...and Floyd's right, BTW.
Even though TheInsider's post makes no sense, to me it's knock.eldonabe wrote:Nobody is knocking Amherst
TheInsider wrote:Honestly Amherst and it's 3 bars it's that good of a college town.
I didn't say it was.eldonabe wrote:- but it would be naive to to think it is the "only" best college town in the country....

Considering TheInsider's post and what he was responding to, I'd say he was knocking Amherst.

Hey LS, you should be due for a plaque at half court next year for several decades of being a season tix holder, no?
Personally I think those ticket upgrade things they do should go to the long time season tix holders, so they can sit Courtside for a game.

I've probably spent more time in Amherst and in the Amherst bars than any of you.. I guess that's not something to be proud of but it's a decent college town. I've been to better. Honestly it's a great town for people the are 30+.. as for people that are 21...ehhh

You guys are funny, no as I was clear to IV on Twitter when he tried to troll me I was on vacation out of the country for 5 weeks. Only had access to the internet when I was in town. Lots to catch up on it seems.JoleonLescottsHair wrote:utterlyoptimistic wrote:Speaking of which, what happened to UMassFan?
