This. Anyone ever think the "bad" body language might be the result of playing for a head coach who is a fucking dolt?

Screw getting a new head coach who know how to manage players or even getting an 'Xs and Os assistant' (an equally dumb cliche), it is all about body language in isolation. In fact, Marty, instead of urging us all to become STH, why don't we all toss our $150 into a pot to hire this woman in the off season?:

We get it Joleon. You fucking detest everything I write. And yeah, sure, some of DC's body language is the fault of DK for giving him and the rest of the team so little to get fired up about, but there are plenty of other kids who have played for DK and didn't show such shitty body language. Kellogg needs to go, but Clark is not a high motor guy. Super talented and oft-misused by DK for sure, but cmon, you really gonna tell me he plays hard consistently?

No, not true. I "detest" your loyalty oath bullshit and I think the "body language" bit is dumb shit, but you are certainly not the only one making that observation. Generally, I only read some or parts (they tend to be pretty wordy) of your posts and, when I do, I don't really have a strong opinion. So, saying I "detest everything [you] write" is simply not accurate.

I was told a rumor that Clark is eligible to graduate and not to expect him back. This was second hand rumor IE I was told it as a rumor not from the source. Figured I would toss it out however.

Edit: Inb4 rage posts: I am clearly stating above I do not know the validity of this rumor, I am just saying I heard the rumor.
Looking forward to winning seasons again!

As an aside, a few weeks after the season ended I had a chance to talk to someone on the staff who is very familiar with Donte's game. He said that Donte was as talented as any SG on the roster but the question is his motor. When you look at the schools that recruited him, you can see that the potential is there. Can DK can get him to play hard all the time?
As long as we're talking body language, etc. I thought I would bring this back from June, 2014. I can't give the name, but the person I spoke to in 2014 was an assistant coach at the time. They knew what they were getting in Donte and felt that it was curable.

My feeling is that Donte will transfer if DK is the coach. If we get a new coach I give it 50/50.

I thought there was some tension between DK and Clark lately, with the loss of the starting role and such, but Clark just gave a nice tweet about DK:

FYI, Clark's twitter account is private, so can't see tweet unless he follows you.

And I didn't copy/paste it because he chose to make his tweets private. But he put it out there, so I at least linked to it.

Anyway, Matty V mentions that Clark will "reportedly graduate on time with a year remaining". Not sure about the reportedly bit, expect that he'd know better than anyone else in the media.

^ I'm sure Matty V. means that it has been reported to him by someone affiliated with the program but that since the semester isn't over nobody can actually say he will graduate on time.

Declaring for the draft, not hiring an agent. I have no problem with juniors or 3rd year guys doing this. They get to workout for NBA guys and have the chance to get feedback on what they need to do in their senior/4th years to have a chance.

Smart move. Never know when someone is going to catch lightning in a bottle. If he is declaring though he likely is not going to transfer so if he doesn't get drafted (highly unlikely he will) perhaps he will be back -- or try to play overseas.

^ that's how I saw it too. If he's focusing all his energy on NBA feedback, there probably won't be much time to transfer.

Donte has the length and athletic ability to make a living playing basketball. Good move putting himself out there to get feedback in terms of what he needs to work on. Better move to return to UMass next year to show off those improvements.
