No - I said Cal is "
The Shit"... big difference.

^ So when do you think the Globe will start running ads for it? January?

^ Great to see this. The more potential recruits hear about our "golden days" the better. 16-18 year-olds know who Cal is but most likely don't know he made his name at UMass.

Looking forward to seeing it.
If it's good I'll buy it when it's release as as a DVD.

Hock's "Survive and Advance" about the '83 NC State team is one of my favorite 30 for 30s. I'm glad he is directing this one.

^ My favorite 30 for 30 is, 'When the Garden Was Eden', the story of the NY Knicks of Wilis Reed, Walt Friazier, etc. that won two titles, 69-70; 72-73.

I think 2 Pablo's (or something like that) has to be my favorite 30 for 30.

They are all usually interesting regardless of the topic, although I was pretty disappointed in the John Daly one that came out a few weeks ago. Seems like they could have gotten a lot more out of that topic than the hour they produced.

I'm refreshing this for anyone who is wondering when Cal's 30 for 30 is coming out, the trailer looks good:

Also, has anyone read his books? I read "Refuse to Lose" and liked it for the obvious UMass content, but thought Dobrow's "Going Big Time" was better. As a parent with a young child, I've enjoyed reading books written by coaches that deal with coaching, success, overcoming obstacles, etc. Are any of his worth it?
