I think you have to show the whole place off to the best of your ability. I mean you are right, those groups are the most important, but to me it makes more sense to let the recruits see the school in full effect.

Looking at the rosters/commits of the other teams, I think we have a chance. As was mentioned earlier, we probably have the best shot of giving them both early playing time. A few of the schools have an opening for Jarreau, but are loaded at the power forward spot. I'm hoping that discourages Gresham. It's good to be in the finals, but this is one we need to win.

We're currently ranked 61st for 2016 recruiting rankings. Obviously this fluctuates with each new recruit, but it is promising considering we haven't landed Gresham, Jarreau, Moore, Baldwin, Brown etc. If we can pick up two or three of our targets we could have a top recruiting class in the A-10.

It's nice to see, but it's a flawed system. Our rating is based on one recruit, McLean. Once we fill the 4 open slots I'll call it a recruiting class. My wish list (of the players I think we have a shot at) is Jarreau, Gresham, Moore and either Baldwin or Marfo. Not likely, but one can hope.

Well miami just opened up a forward spot as Omar Sherman is leaving the team

Wasn't the kid kicked out of school for stealing after already being in trouble for stealing?

I'm hoping Scoop was joking about picking up Moss.

2016 big man James Banks (La Lumiere) visits Texas this weekend. Longhorns could sign up to six players in Shaka Smart's first class.

The picture is starting to get a little clearer for UMass.

Alani Moore is scheduled to make an official visit on 9/8. UMass is in his final 4, of which Moore has official visits set for 3 - the same 3 that he's already visited unofficially - Seton Hall, Temple and UMass (UMass is the last visit as it stands right now). A decision is expected in September and UMass seems to be the favorite. Nice article here from a mostly Temple perspective... http://www.cityofbasketballlove.com/new ... id=1566508

DeJon Jarreau & Brison Gresham are scheduled to make an official visit to UMass on 9/24. They have 3 other official visits and two unofficial visits setup throughout September/October. LSU is viewed as the favorite and there are several high level schools also in that group of 7. UMass has to be viewed as a major underdog here, but they have a fighting chance because they've been pursuing both players for a long time and because they are adamant about a package deal wherever they go. The kicker here is that neither player is a 5-star or high 4-star recruit, thus it's likely that neither player, let along both, are a high priority for most of the other top 7 schools on their lists.

Bruce Brown - who the hell knows what's up with this kid. I respect that he's kept such a tight lid on most of the details of his recruitment, but it sure makes it next to impossible for fans like us to figure out what he might do. The general consensus seems to be that Indiana is the team to beat, but UMass isn't giving up and at least some recruiting industry experts think he will end up at UMass. It's believed that he has official visits set to Indiana and Georgetown in September. Georgetown very recently got a commitment from a similar type player while Indiana is recruiting several other high level guards (one who is visiting this weekend) and is dealing with more off the court drama.

Kevin Marfo is expected to play host to 10 schools at his prep school September for sit-down meetings, UMass is one of them.

Not too much else to report. I haven't heard any new developments regarding local guys Chris Baldwin, Tyrn Flowers or Saul Phiri.

Maybe Brown is determined to go to college next year, and has some concerns with qualifying...so we remain near the top of his list despite the bigger boys chasing him.

^Maybe, but I don't think that's likely, he was originally in the c/o 2015 before transferring to Vermont Academy and moving to c/o 2016. A few months ago there was even talk of him reclassifying back into 2015.

Figured this was a good spot for this, but I noticed that in two articles (one with Gresham/Jarreau about their final 7 and the most recent one with Alani Moore) the recruits singled out Shyrone Chatman a a guy who they love talking to and who is important in their recruitment process.

Just wanted to say keep up the good work!
