I find it strange to see on all these Bracketology sites.....how they reference our quality wins. Sometimes, they'll list a Clemson or LSU and ignore GW. Or they list Ohio or something, but not Providence or BYU.

To me, it's pretty easy to "rank" our best wins.

(n) New Mexico
@ GW
VCU
St. Joseph's
(n) BYU

All are comfortably inside the Top 50 RPI. No one else is. Clemson, LSU, and especially Nebraska and Providence are close to Top 50. But none are nearly as strong a win as GW on the road or even SJU at home.

The Sporting News guy is an idiot. Said we had eight Top 100 wins when in reality we had 12 as of tonight. Think that would change their seeding a little bit?

I had to reread it, but he said 8 "non-conference" wins against the top 100, which might be accurate.

Got it - my reading comp skills need a refresher. Thanks for clarifying. In any event, UMass' profile still reflects something closer to a 6 seed than an 8, IMHO.

Paid for the feed and it's still not showing anything. Anyone else having this issue?

You gotta go to the a10 all access site, click on live events and click on Duquesne for team.

game of the year right there! this sets them up so nice for not only the A-10 but the NCAA's! St. Louis on Sunday can only help them...tonight made them no worse than a 7 seed...regardless of what they do the rest of the way. I think this was the most pressure they had so far this year...they have no worries whatsoever on Sunday and I think they beat St Louis pretty easily.

where do you all see us if we win out...including the a-10 tournament? 4?

Yes.

We'd deserve a 3 but get a 4.

That would be something like:

Wins against St. Louis, George Washington/Dayton, St. Louis again, VCU/St. Joe's to go 28-6.

If that doesn't get us a 3 seed, something is wrong.

I'm telling you....we'd get a 4. The narrative would be that we have lots and lots of solid wins, but no win over a truly elite team. And the Mason loss comes into play at that level of comparison. Which isn't completely without merit. But if that scenario played out, we'd have an incredible record against Top 50 and Top 100 teams. With many wins away from Mullins.

And probably a top 5-8 RPI. If we got a 4, we'd truly know where the A-10 stands. All of that is quite a scenario, though. Me, I'm happy with anything better than an 8 seed.

Welcome to the seeding talk. I also had a couple of diehard friends who wouldnt believe we were in until the win tonight. There are not many fans of teams that can go from bubble talk to the talk of a 4 seed.

I agree with Chris, ceiling appears to be a 4. A win over SLU should put them no worse than a 7, even with a one and done in A10, the rpi will be too good with a win sunday to drop them lower.

Yes, as much as I get caught up in the minutia, I am just so damn happy we're in, and in with a game or two we are capable of winning.
