Congrats to Josh. He does a great job with our games, and we were lucky to get him in the dark, post-Ford years.
I assume this won't affect the UMass games he calls. Only games that would interfere would be a couple early-season football games, and maybe some preseason football programming.

I hope we don't lose him for hoops. I hate breaking in new play by play guys.

I posted this in the 2014 season thread yesterday. From what I read he had been doing game for the Trenton Thunder so i doubt this will impact his Umass duties.

Congrats to Josh. As the article mentions, there are a long line of Paw Sox announcers who have gone onto be PBP announcers for major league teams, so this is a big step for his career.
Give WBB more money.

Good for Josh! He got a lot of flak from here when he started, mostly due to trying to fill some huge shoes. He has done a great job throughout and this is well deserved!
Stop waiting for UMass to do something big and help UMass do something big. - Shades

Congrats to Josh, that is a real good stepping stone for him. He's done a nice job so far and continues to get better every year.
Can we please spell the guy's name right though ?

Congrats to Josh. I think he does a good job for UMass and he has improved quite a bit since he started. He'll do well in his future and I hope he continues to do UMass sports

Agreed. He really has become quite good at what he does. It's funny how you really get attached to an announcer. Very happy to hear he'll still be calling our games.
Congrats Josh.
