I don't recall either who started on him, but they started Putney on him to start the 2nd. Putney just couldn't get through the screens, and Haws got some good looks. I could see what DK was thinking though, hoping Put's length would bother Haws. DG really did a nice job in the 2nd half on him, even when Haws scored, he had to work for everything he got. Unlike the first half when he got a lot of open looks. Sometimes it looked like our guys just weren't sure who they had on defense, other times we simply lost Haws in transition. Regardless, he is one heck of a player, and I really like Mika too. He didn't look like a freshman, unfortunately for BYU I think I read that he is going on a mission after this season.

The glacier love makes me smile even broader than I'm already smiling. Rest assured that my post was meant in no way to be a slight on Glacier, the most beautiful place on Earth, than a confession to how much I really love UMass basketball. Glad some fellow massholes have been out west to behold the glory.
I'm against picketing, but I don't know how to show it.

My favorite college hoops team scored 50 IN THE PAINT against a pretty good zone defense today. They also had 29 assists, shot 56% from the floor and 26-31 (84%) from the line dropping 15-18 in the second half.

Very nice effort.

Katz and Ainge in the house today. People are definitely taking notice and it's fun to be a part of it all. Probably another full house against PC on the 28th.

I can't get enough of Marty Dobrow. Please write a sequel to Going Bigtime. Return to Bigtime. I'll pre-order right now.

My girls were born in Montana, but left when very young. Took them back there last year. So nice to see Glacier again, along with Kootenai Falls.

Nice coverage by the Glob (none). Was their reporter busy bailing drunks out of jail?

Just got home. :) Can't read 625 posts, but the last two pages have been terrific!

It was so neat to see a full house! Wow.

The globe hates Umass. I dont understand it.

Proprs to the Herald once again for their coverage. They put us on the main page online, at least as of last night.

I am a multiple times a day visitor of this board, but don't post that often. I had to get in on this one. What an unbelievable day yesterday. Just watching on TV and seeing the sold-out building & the atmosphere and watching us respond every time BYU came at us, just awesome. This team is something special. I spent the whole game standing in my living room - couldn't sit down. Just an absolutely fantastic performance. Loving this team. Looks like I need to plan a couple trips up to campus this season to see these guys live. Go UMass!
