I thought one of his daughters went to Memphis. I remember at the UMASS/Memphis game a few years back, during DK's first season as coach, they kept showing Cal's wife sitting between the two daughters. One daughter was wearing a UMASS shirt and the other was wearing a Memphis shirt while Cal's wife was wearing a shirt that was half UMASS and half Memphis. Does anyone else remember this?

Yes, but the daughter with the Memphis shirt may have been a senior in HS that year. Erin went to UMASS, Meg goes there now. No idea what his son has planned.

It just says so much about our U and Cal's relationship to it that both his daughters have attended.

That says a lot about genuine loyalty, fondness and belief in UMass that Coach Cal still has - to the point that he imbued it in his daughters. Let's face it Cal has more money than God and those girls could have gone to school anywhere money allows. Instead they both decided to go to a state school up in Western Massachusetts. That's really cool. I suspect Cal teaches tremendous values, hard work and ethics not just to his team but his family first. There is no "faking" two daughters attending UMass, that speaks for itself.

it also seems that at Umass, his daughters can just be themselves. Megan started at UK, but transferred to Umass because UK fanatics wouldn't leave her alone

Possibly true, but I had friends who knew Erin and they said she would get annoyed if people brought up her father....

I think Erin got a lot of crap from people about her father, which is probably why she would get annoyed. Hard to blame her for that.
