Nova being Northern Virginia, not Villanova. Good article. Looks like has some touch and athleticism and could be a late bloomer.

Well it looks like Freeman is playing well in his year at prep school:
Also looks like URI is going after him:
I have a feeling he is going to be a good player. I know we got Tyler and Cady, but I think this guy might be worth a shot. A 7 footer that can run the floor, block shots, and has a hook shot sure sounds attractive to me.
at: http://hooprootz.blogspot.com/2011/12/f ... -feed.htmlSouth Kent defeated Worcester Academy by a score of 84-75 to move to 4-0 on the season. Chris Thomas led the scoring with 21, Ricky Ledo showed his versatility with 8 assists, and Isaac Freeman had 12 points, 9 boards, and 5 blocks.

Rhode Island recently offered 2012 South Kent (CT) center Isaac Freeman, per a source.
Source: http://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/hi ... story.htmlWith Freeman being a 7-footer on an up-tempo team, Dufrene acknowledges that the McDonald’s all-American nominee is at times an afterthought in the offense, despite a soft hook shot that has added polish to his game. But it’s a far cry from his offensive marching orders last season: Stay out of the way.

This looks like a good year to be competing with Rhody for a player, since we're looking better than we have in a while and they seem to be in disarray. Of course, we're all waiting warily to see whether we are going to continue to play with intensity. Problem: Ledo is going to Providence. But who knows if Freeman even likes Ledo?

Those coaches and fans who survived the entire day were rewarded with an epic battle as South Kent established a commanding first half lead only to see St. John’s come storming back in the second half. Chris Thomas went to work in the first half, rattling off 14 points in only 8 minutes, while the backcourt of Jacoby Davis, Jeremiah Jones, and Quinn Williams led the comeback for St. John’s. Ricardo Ledo and Isaac Freeman both came up with key buckets down the stretch for South Kent while Freeman was equally clutch on the defensive end, securing every big rebound.

Scout now lists us as offering Freeman. Appears Drexel, Missouri and UCF have also offered.
He looks a bit better in this game (in white jersey #55). Blocks a couple shots and gets a dunk. But note that the video published above was his first game at South Kent. The following link is from his second game.

Here is a game from February, last of the year.

If he is 6'11", then the other teams big men must be 7'. Doesn't appear to have "soft hands" and isn't a go-to guy for their offense.
However, he does get up and down the court quickly and effortlessly, which might suit our style. Looks very unpolished and not overly comfortable in the offense or even where he is supposed to be on the court. Looks like a work in progress.
This kid is never going to be a Marcus Camby but maybe a Micha Brandt, or Inus Norville --who knows.
Agree that Bergantino and Cady are more talented at this point but another big guy on the bench wouldn't hurt and could help if the injury bug rears its ugly head.
He was smart to get another year under his belt in prep school.
Unfortunately, 7 footers don't grow on trees.
