Lasme just recently got married and will be having a baby! If you know him, send him your best wishes!

Back when Lasme got drafted by the Warriors, I had put the video of it up on YouTube.

Someone posted a comment today: "Welcome to Maccabi".
I take that to mean that Steph has landed with the Maccabi club in Tel Aviv. I checked their site (http://www.maccabi.co.il/Default.asp?language=english) but there's no mention of it. We'll have to keep an eye on it.

Good for Stephane. One of the better Euroleague teams

well he is a good fit for Macabbi TA. they needed some size with D'Or Fischer being their only big last year that did anything. They had a lot of off the court issues and their ownership is probably looking for class acts like SL.

some notable players o Macabbi TA are Carlos Aaroyo from the NBA and former Illini "Prince" Dee Brown.

They have lost a couple of Israeli Lior Eliyhou who is going to play for Olympikos in Greece and Omri Caspi who was drafted in the first round by the Kings.

Macabbi is the best team in Israel and plays in Euroleague against the CSKA Moscow's, Olympikos, Rael Madrid et all.

very excited to have another minutemen in the homeland!

Tonight, 5 points and a board in 10 minutes of action, but also 2 TOs and 4 fouls

On another note, I noticed on Lasme's Wikipedia page that someone has removed the mention of Maccabi. Their reason: there hasn't been any official confirmation yet. A lot of their website is in Hebrew, but I don't see them mention Lasme either.

But if it does happen, some cool news stateside: Maccabi is slated to play two exhibitions with NBA clubs.
10/18 at the Knicks.
10/20 at the Clippers. Lasme vs Camby?!?!?!

Some additional info from 7/3. Clearly ID's his move as a rumor, but provides a little more background.
